Read stories other writers have written and learn about techniques that they have used.

Learn proper grammar

No matter how good your story is you must ensure that the proper grammar is used and commas etc are used in the appropriate places.

Assess the book subject

It is essential that you assess whether the subject you are going to write about provides enough material to make up a book.

Will your topic attract readers

You need to assess whether your book will attract members of the public as well as stockists. It is important to note that self help, how to and do it yourself books sell very well.

Break the subject down

Once you have chosen your subject then you must break it down into about 10 chapters and write about 3,000 words in each chapter.

Break the chapters down
